SITUATION UPDATE

Please note that VSO is in no way connected with or responsible for the content, comments and observations in this blog: these are solely my own in a personal capacity.

Alfred: Well, things have REALLY been busy recently! And they are about to get even busier - at least for Ruairí: I foresee weeks on end sitting on the chair in his bedroom without his even being around! On Thursday and Friday this week he is off to Kigali for training and will then set off on a two-week tour of the South Province assessing the standard of English among secondary school teachers for MINEDUC in the company of a MINEDUC inspector. Once that is over he is off to Uganda for about a week because Genocide Memorial Week is a pretty grim affair here.

So that's why the lack of updates! I'll try and chivvy him in the next two days to write SOMETHING for his faithful reader(s) -(?plural needed?) - or else take the computer with him when he goes. Better tell him to buy a proper rucksack in Nakumat as well - there's a limit to how often the lady with the sewing machine is going to be able to resew the straps on the piece of **** he bought in Kigali!

Meanwhile here is a picture of Bruce at nhis birthday party in Gahini to cheer you all up!
